题目: 简并气体中的等温压缩系数  (Isothermal compressibility in degenerate Fermi gases)
 
摘要:   The spin-orbit coupling (SOC) in degenerate Fermi gases can fundamentally change the fate of $s$-wave superfluids with strong Zeeman field, 
giving rise to topological superfluids and associated Majorana zero modes. It also dramatically changes the thermodynamic properties of
the superfluids. In this talk, I will mainly focus on the isothermal compressibility in these degenerate gases. The outline of this talk is largely described 
as following:  (1) A brief discussion of isothermal compressibility in ideal gas, and non-interacting fermion and boson gases.  (2) Anomalous behavior of 
isothermal compressibility with both SOC and Zeeman field. (3) Exact isothermal compressibility in degenerate Fermi gases without SOC and Zeeman 
field and their physics in BEC and BCS limits.  (4) Anomalous of compressibility in 3D optical lattice. (5) Some exact results for isothermal compressibility 
in the lattice model.  Students with some background in thermodynamics can capture the major ideas in talk much easier. 


报告人介绍: 
龚明,中国科学技术大学教授、博士生导师。于2005和2010年分别在中国科学技术大学获得学士和博士学位。2010-2012年在美国从事博士后研究工作。2012-2015年在香港中文大学任研究助理教授。2015年底回到中国科大工作。龚教授主要从事量子计算、量子模拟、拓扑量子计算以及多体物理等方面的研究。在Nature Communications,  Phys. Rev. Lett.等杂志上发表论文60多篇。
