报告题目:Unconventional Kibble-Zurek Scaling in Deconfined Quantum Criticality

Deconfined quantum criticality (DQC), driven by deconfinement and condensation of fractionalized particles, shows fascinating equilibrium critical behaviors beyond the prevalent Landau-Ginzburg-Wilson (LGW) paradigm. Here, for the first time, we study the dynamics of DQC under an external driving. Remarkably, we find that the deconfinement dynamics can invalidate the celebrated conventional Kibble-Zurek scaling, which has bear vast examinations in the driven dynamics of LGW phase transitions. An unconventional Kibble Zurek scaling (UKZS), which takes the driven effects on the deconfinement dynamics into account, is then constructed. Exotic dynamic scaling behaviors are discovered obeying the UKZS. Our work not only provides new insights into DQC and Kibble-Zurek scaling but also raises a prelude to the studies of nonequilibrium properties of the exotic critical phenomena beyond LGW paradigm.

阴帅,中山大学物理学院副教授,2022年国家优秀青年科学基金获得者。2014年中山大学博士毕业,2014-2016年台湾清华大学博士后,2016-2019年清华大学高等研究院博士后。长期致力于通过非平衡场论,泛函重整化群,量子蒙特卡洛,张量网络等解析和数值方法研究量子临界性及其非平衡动力学,无序系统的临界动力学,超越朗道范式的动力学相变等。
